As many of you know, I love food. Wings are a part of the foods I love. A wonderful friend of mine shared this delicious marinade with me for chicken wings and now I'm paying it forward to those of you who enjoy wings as much as I do. And, you know that if I can do it, so can you!! It's really easy and really yummy. Enjoy!!
Ingredients:
3-4 lbs chicken wings
Marinade:
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 cup soy sauce (I mixed regular and low sodium)
1/4 cup orange juice (or pineapple juice if you prefer)
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tsp ginger (less or more depending on your ginger preference)
2 Tbsp honey
Directions:
- Combine ingredients above for the marinade (stir well to dissolve honey and sugar).
- Add chicken wings. Refrigerate overnight.
- I grilled the wings on medium heat and they turned out wonderfully. I like that slightly charred taste when grilling meat.
- Or, you can bake at 350-375 degrees on a cookie sheet or baking dish spooning sauce on top. Bake for 45 minutes or so, turning them over every 15 minutes.
- Warning: The sauce will get thick & sticky and may burn slightly, so you might want to line with foil or count on doing some super scrubbing.
Enjoy!!
