4th of July

 After the long previous day, we had a slow morning on the 4th of July. But then we headed to Diamond Head for the hike. I think the girls could've done without, but we had the tickets, so...off we went. It was quite warm and tiring at some points, but we made it to the top!

We were back to the hotel and at the pool where we rented cabanas by 1:00. It was so nice to be poolside, in the pool, in the hot tub, etc. We ordered lunch poolside and enjoyed island life greatly.

We kept dinner really casual and walked to the Waikiki Market, grabbed ready-to-eat food, and enjoyed it outside of the store. Afterwards, we strolled Waikiki before heading back to the hotel. I went back to the room to enjoy some solitude while everyone ran off to do their own thing around the hotel.

Unfortunately, there were no fireworks which was disappointing because the Hawaiians are known for loving their fireworks. But it was a fun day!
