A Beautiful Day

After many days of endless gray skies and rain we had a BEAUTIFUL day today! This picture doesn't do the day justice, but it was so sunny and the sky was a magnificent blue earlier today. It's clouded over a bit since then (this picture was taken from our deck just after 5pm), but it's still wonderful outside - cool and pleasant. I'm hoping Keira will wake up soon so we can go for a walk and enjoy the weather. The weekend forecast looks great too, so I'm excited!

I went to lunch today with Meredith and Jill, friends from high school. It was so much fun to talk and catch up. I can't believe we are all parents now. There was so much for us to talk about, though admittedly most of the conversation revolved around pregnancy and parenting. But, that's to be expected because all of this is a new experience for us. Sometimes it feels like just yesterday that we were carefree and giggly teenagers. Now we're adults with children! Crazy!

The MN State Fair started yesterday. I'm going out there this Tue with a couple of friends. I can't wait to feast. I've been looking forward to this for almost a year. Ever since I got really sick during my first trimester I vowed to make up for the misery and inability to eat by indulging at the Fair. I'm looking forward to fries, ice cream, pronto pups, mini donuts, cheese curds, etc. And, I don't care if it's not good for me. It only comes around once a year!

Here's a picture of Keira sleeping this morning. She's striking a pose!
