3 Months Old

Keira is 3 months old today! We went to get her photos professionally taken today, but that didn't work out so well. She refused to nap earlier, so halfway through the session she got crabby and wouldn't stop crying. We're going to go back to the studio tomorrow and see if we can try again. Hopefully it'll go better tomorrow. She's napping now so Mark and I are enjoying our down time.

This month has marked several new discoveries for her. She has taken a liking to a couple of her toys which both happen to be yellow and red in color. She's also discovered her hands and spends lots of time staring at them before trying to get them both into her mouth. It's really funny to watch her and it's especially funny when she tries to shove her hands AND toys into her mouth. Sometimes she'll grab onto our fingers and try to put them into her mouth too. It seems she's gotten to the stage where everything she gets a hold of goes into her mouth. I hear that doesn't end any time soon!

Keira's babbling a lot to her toys and to people. It's really cool to see her interacting. She continues to be a very "alert" baby and likes to see everything around her. It's fun to watch her do that, except when we're trying to get her to sleep. We literally have to turn off all the lights so she can't see anything when we put her to sleep. She's such a busy body already - kind of like her mom, I guess. Ha ha.
